![]() Hello Everybody, I really appreciate the great responses from this blog. It is an early, below freezing, morning here in Harbin China. Everybody is asleep so it is a good time to write. Sinus problem is a very large problem. On TV you will see commercial after commercial on drugs to help your sinuses. Unfortunately, these drug do more harm than good, even though they will give a very temporary relief. Like anyone that has followed my blog knows, if something is going to work well, the cure will be slow. Nature moves slowly. So you must know why you have sinus problems. Your nose is maybe one of the most important parts on your whole body. It's job is to filter germs and stop them from getting inside your body. It does this by producing mucus (sometimes called snot). This mucus is what is used to trap germs. When a germ does sneak in, then your will produce excess mucus and you will get a runny nose. A runny nose helps to get the excess germs out by running out of your body and/or dripping down into your digestive system where it can be handle and eliminated as waste (or you can just spit). When germs get trapped in your nose and does not get out, then mucus forms around it and hardens. This action is to protect you from the germ. Unfortunately, this hardened mucus can block your sinus nasal passages. Germs can also come from the back of your teeth, or from rotting teeth. Even from the back of your tongue. So a good sonic toothbrush and very good mouthwash that does not contain alcohol will also be a good preventative for your sinus health. These sinus are just holes in your head. It is the only place in your body where you have these cavities. They are behind your nose, above your eyes, in your cheeks etc. If you took you hand and covered your face, you will cover all the sinus. Sinuses are air tunnels that let oxygen go to your important organs like your lungs, and your brain. These sinuses also act like a crumple zone on a car that protect your brain. If you get in a crash or someone hits you, then your sinuses will take the impact before your brain does. So now you have to ask yourself, "where do germs come from in my life?" Mold is a big problem. Very small microscopic mold spores can get in the air and into your nose. Pet dander, dust mites, feces from bugs, like roaches and spiders etc. So the first hing to do is clean, clean clean. kill all the mold, vacuum inside your coach, deep clean your carpet, clean your refrigerator, etc. Sanitize your bathroom. Because steam from your shower can put water into the smallest nooks and crannies in your bathroom. Mold spores can develop in your bathroom very easily. When you flush your toilet, close the lid. Because toxic fumes bubble up when you flush, and they go right into the air. Did you know that hospitals do not allow any fruit on the cancer section because of mold? Fruit grows mold very quickly. To take care of that, use food grade hydrogen peroxide spray from the health store and follow the directions. You can also use it to clean surfaces. It is healthier than using bleach, but use bleach if you do not have another choice. Also there are very good natural nasal mist sprays. You can use hydrogen peroxide as a spray, but you must be very careful and dilute it properly. Us saline solution to keep the inside of your nose moist, carry a bottle with you. Also colloidal silver nasal spray will help balance your body. This will help you liver health. A small amount of tea tree oil under your nostrils will help open you sinus passages so that you can do a deep cleaning with Q tips soaked in Saline. Or you can mix some sea salt and water to do deep nasal cleaning Adjust your diet. Stay away from meats, sugar, dairy, including milk and eggs. These all produce excess mucus. A completely Vegan diet would be best, but try at least 75% vegan diet if you really love meats. Get a good HEPA air filtration system that specializes in allergens and dander. Make sire it has an Ionizer. This will put negative Ions in the air, (Just like a rain does). Negative Ions attach themselves to dust. Once they are attached to the dust, then they are too heavy to stay afloat. When that happens, they drop to the ground. Then you can just vacuum. You can even get your heating and air mechanic to put special ultra violate lights that kill germs before they get into your air. A whole house air purifier is expensive, but if you can afford it , look into it. So, basically you will need a very large lifestyle change if you have a very large problem with your sinuses. Begin regular deep breathing exersizes, make your body fit and strong, maybe even try some yoga. If you know any other solutions, or if I have forgotten anything, please feel free to post it here.
